Hani Barakat, chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS), said it was important to bolster the relations between the EOS and the industrial sector in order to develop the Egyptian industry and help it meet international standardizations so that it could be up to global competition as a representative of the Egyptian industry.
As part of the State's strategy to develop Egyptian industries, the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) honored the first generation of Egyptian industrialists. They were the chairmen of six companies, such as Universal Egypt, Olympic Group, Electrostar, Toshiba El Arabi and Noval Modern. Bavaria was honored because it was the first to get a quality certificate 30 years ago. .
