Guests are the core of hospitality industry. They must be protected from harmful injuries and illness. A guest suffering from burns due to a fire event may ruin the business for a long period of time. Commonly, hotels are protected with sprinkler system, standpipe system and fire extinguishers as well as fire alarm system. A new approach for protection is to use water mist systems to minimize the water damage during a fire event which preserves business sustainability. Hotels usually involve commercial cooking kitchens. The hoods of such kitchens are commonly protected with kitchen fire suppression system. High rise hotels increase the challenge of fire protection. In such building, the occupants are totally dependants on fixed fire protection system. The time elapsed for evacuation in those hotels is relatively higher than other hotels. Hence, in such case mass notification and graphical representation of fire events is essential.
