Electrical Enclosures & Engine Compartments Systems
Electrical Enclosures & Engine Compartments systems are automatic pre-engineered systems used to detect and suppress fire. Pre-engineered systems are defined as systems of pre-determined performance, components and configurations. Such systems are cost effect, friendlier to the environment according to the agent quantity and simple to maintain. Bavaria fire search systems detect fire using a continuous linear thermal sensor tube that reliably detects the surrounding environment and actuates release of the extinguishing agent. It is more flexible, space efficient and cost effective versus alternative mechanical or electronic systems. Indeed, the revolutionary pneumatic design secures individual high-risk areas like electrical and mechanical equipment that were previously not practical to protect. Because the sensor tubing is flexible, it can easily be installed directly inside electrical enclosure-directly among circuitry. This installation enables early fire detection. The sudden tube depressurization actuates the special valve and floods the enclosed area with extinguishing agent. The fire is quickly suppressed just moments after. Electrical Enclosures & Engine Compartments systems are categorized based on the extinguishing agent and the system type into the following categories:
-
Direct Pressure Operated System – Dry Chemical
At 110°C, the pressure in the sensor tubing releases suddenly. The sudden release of pressure activates the cylinder valve and floods the protected area with extinguishing agent.
Dry Chemical powder
-
Working Pressure Classification:
Low Pressure

-
Indirect Pressure Operated System – Dry Chemical
At 110°C, the pressure in the sensor tubing releases suddenly. The sudden release of pressure activates the cylinder valve and floods the protected area with extinguishing agent through a separate discharge line.
